I have been playing percussion for nearly a decade and have studied since an early age under members of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and Dallas Wind Symphony. I learned from many experts in specialized fields of percussion including Jazz Vibraphone and Afro-Cuban percussion among many others, though my own specialty is performing on the marimba. I am currently studying Music Education and Percussion Performance at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. My goal is to use my musical talents to help improve the lives of others.
I am able to perform on a variety of instruments from across the world of percussion. I am experienced in many settings as well, having performed at orchestral concerts, solo recitals, church services, a rock concert, and an NFL game, among other events, in my career. I can perform solos or as a member of an ensemble and can prepare in a relatively short amount of time. My fees are extremely reasonable and will be worked out individually for each performance.
In addition to performing on percussion instruments, I am also able to perform maintenance on many of the instruments and implements that I use. I can repair marimba mallets or create a new set to customer specifications. I can also replace the head on a rope-tuned djembe. All of my repair services come at prices far cheaper than the industry standard, but I maintain a dedication to producing a quality product.
